Property Tax Billing
2025-2026 property tax bills were committed October 2, 2025.
This bill covers the fiscal year February 1, 2025 through January 31, 2026.
As per state law, the ownership and valuation of all real and personal property shall be fixed as of April 1 of each year. For this tax bill, that date is April 1, 2025. If you sold your property since April 1, 2025, it is still your obligation to pay this bill. You may want to forward this bill to the current property owners, but if it is not paid the lien will be placed against your name.
If your mortgage holder pays your taxes, please review and forward a copy of your bill to them immediately.
Taxes are due December 2, 2025, interest to any outstanding tax bills is applied December 3, 2025 (7.5%).
Taxes that are not paid by June 3, 2026, will receive a 30-day-notice, and if not paid before the date on this notice a municipal lien will be applied.
After 18 months of having a tax lien, properties become tax acquired.
The Town of Passadumkeag’s 2025-2026 Mil Rate is 24.24.
Please note: An error was found in bills that had an exemption. The mail merge picked up double the exemption but did not affect the Tax Amount due. Corrections were mailed but this file wasn't redone.
